What is Coaching? The original concept of coaching, as used in sport, had been extended to include areas such as business coaching, executive coaching and, life coaching. Fundamentally, coaching involves a process of needs assessment and facilitation that enables an individual or a team to improve on previous performance levels. Ian draws from the knowledge and experience gained from a successful career at the leading edge of competitive sport. Ian is a coach educator and consultant with Hi5 Sport. Bill Furniss, coach to world record holder and double Olympic medallist, Rebecca Adlington, is Britains most successful swimming coaching and an expert in high performance teams and peak performance in pressure situations.
What is Hypnosis?
The trance state (or an altered state of awareness) is among the oldest phenomena known to man and is found, in one form or another, in virtually every culture throughout the world. Hypnosis, or hypnotherapy in its clinical use, has seen a huge growth in popularity in recent years and is quite simply the most powerful device for personal development, health and positive change. Why? Because it utilises the most powerful part of our creative potential - our imagination. Ian is a licensed clinical therapist with the National Council for Hypnotherapy and the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council and is registered with the British Complementary Medicine Association.

What is performance psychology?
In the past, psychology focussed on the healing of mental illness, whereas nowadays the new force of 'positive psychology' uses our understanding of the mind and emotions to enable people who may already be very successful in many parts of their lives to achieve success or increase their level of performance in areas that previously may have represented 'blind spots'. Ian Coleman is a sport psychologist accredited with the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES).
